In todays society money accounts for more than 98% of our lifestyles. For example: the cars we drive,, type of car we have, the house we reside in, or the foods that we consume. The problem is there don’t seem to be enough good paying jobs to accommodate for everybody and their families. Here are 5 ways to put your money in the right places to be the most affective for you.
1. Get out of debt. When your money is free to spend, your life free to live!! There is nothing worst then the feeling of can’t pay a bill or simply running out of money before the end or the week. Bills are like a vacuum they will suck up your money. Its best to pay off your expenses early, and tuff it out (with a little bit of money) till next weeks check then to have an entire check in your pocket thats not enough in the first place to meet your need. So in short pay bills off, and live low maintenance. My book How Do I Produce Prosperity? talks about this principle and many more to show you what I did to have a surplus of extra cash!
2. Be Responsible. Its a really bad feeling after getting paid and planning out what your money has purpose for and then realizing OMG I think I lost a hundred dollar bill in the parking lot of Costco. Don’t handle money haphazardly. Have a sense of responsibility and control. Know where your money is at during all times. If places in the wrong spot because I know from experience money can go missing, try to not focus on where it could have gone but focus on where was the last place you were at when you had the money present.
3. Save. In the book Rich dad, poor , author Robert Kiyosaki mentions the concept of saving but he those not particly agree with it for his own reasons. I totally understand where he is coming from. If you look at the times we are living in today 401k plans are quickly becoming a thing of the past and saving large amounts of money at higher interest level banks use to be the trick but not any more. Even though I personally do believe in setting aside something for a nest egg, money is currency and I look at currency from the root word current. Current means “flowing”, or “right now”. Its okay to save some but take some and make investments happen. Create something with your money, don’t let it just sit dormant in a safe under your bed or in the closet. Refer to Matthew 25:14.
4. Tithe. Some of you probably guessed it. Tithe is a principle I operate in weekly or overtime I increase. I never spend a bit of my check with out taking my tithes out first. This is what God requires and I give it to Him no questioned asked. I would rather live my life with a blessed 90% of my money than a cursed 100% of my money.
5. Give! This is probably the single most important thing to do on this list I’m providing. Giving not only shows God your not controlled by money, which means He can trust you with more, but it shows you care and have a heart towards the person you are giving too. The saying is true you get what you give. Well You reap what you sow. I work this principal daily. Its a life style for me because I know the effects it has on me personally, and the gift of money to another affects that person with something they wasn’t expecting but in a good way. “…and they are the quickest and most effective way to financial freedom” ( How Do I Produce Prosperity, pg.5) Its not bad to give, just know what you can do and go for it. You will see a return in a greater measure. Just try it!
